Multimedia development 02-06-2019

I know there has not been a lot of updates on Multimedia Player since forever but it is mainly due to the fact that we’ve been working really hard on adding video support & improving the player overall.

Here’s what to be expected in the upcoming version 2.0 (list is subject to change): 

Multimedia v 2.0

  • (Added) Video support.
  • (Added) DVD + subtitle support.
  • (Added) Glows and animation to themes.
  • (Added) New icons: debug, shuffle, add to favorite, fullscreen, mini-player, hide, presets, etc…
  • (Added) Visual preview of the theme selection.
  • (Added) Debug mode (Add /hm in the parameters when launching multimedia).
  • (Added) Button fullscreen + keypress escape to exit fullscreen in the visualizer.
  • (Added) Icons update their colors accordingly if a dark theme vs light theme is selected.
    (No more white icons on a white background theme)
  • (Updated) Interfaces design and look.
  • (Updated) Skin engine v.14.14 + skins.
  • (Updated) Icons style cohesion.
  • (Updated) Visualization backgrounds automatically fits with selected theme.
  • (Updated) Mini-player interface.
  • (Updated) Major redesign of the options window.

    N.B. The “After” is not even representative of the current state of the redesigned options window.
    There has been more changes after this screenshot has been taken.
  • (Updated) Music converter, more user friendly.
  • (Updated) Radio, more user friendly.
  • (Updated) Fully multilingual interface.
  • (Updated) Media Library list component.
  • (Updated) Record panel removed. Simply click the record button to record.
    (Go in the option window to change the record input)
  • (Fixed) Many bugs on Windows 10.
  • (Not working: Preview btns, Access to registry, Drag n Drop)
  • (Fixed) Radio did not clear the radio infos when stopped.
  • (Fixed) Ensured Multimedia is opened on a valid display.
    (Prevents having multimedia opened on a disconnected screen)
  • (Fixed) Multimedia crashed when computer did not have any cd drive.
  • (Fixed) Slow visualizer loading caused by DirectX version lookup.
  • (Fixed) Visual glitch when resizing the media library.
  • (Fixed) Visual glitch when making a selection in the playlist.
  • (Fixed) Many minor bugs fixed.
